Cutting Power

Bosch 10-Inch table Saw In Action

Starting at the heart, Bosch equipped this saw with a 15-amp motor that boasts a top speed of 3,800 RPMs. That’s 150 RPMs faster than the previous model, even though it’s the same motor power. The GTS15-10 also has an improved cut capacity of 3-9/16 inches, up from 3-1/8 inches, allowing you to cut 4x lumber in a single pass!

Even with the stock blade, this saw performed well and maintained high RPMs through each pass. We didn’t notice any chattering or wobbling during our cuts, as long as you keep a consistent feed rate. Of course, swapping it out for a premium blade will only improve its overall performance.

Bevel and blade height adjustment

This saw’s range for bevel cuts is -2° up to 47°, which is consistent with prior models. To adjust the bevel, simply flip the large red locking lever and position the blade to your desired angle and lock it back into place. Bosch’s system is secure and easy to operate, even while wearing work gloves.

The table has a generous size with 32-1/8 inches of rip capacity to the right and 14-1/8 inches to the left. This should be more than enough to make the cuts a portable table saw excels at.

Blade Options

If you want to cut dadoes, Bosch has you covered! You can swap the 10-inch standard blade out for a 6 or 8-inch dado stacks up to 13/16 of an inch. This is perfect for cutting large rabbet and box joints, tenons, and removing large sections of material.

Rack-and-Pinion Fence System

Bosch made some significant improvements to this saw by adding a rack-and-pinion fence adjustment system. If you haven’t used that style before, it eliminates some of the squaring issues that come with clamping fence styles, and it makes adjustments much faster and more accurate.

To adjust the fence, start by pushing down on the tensioner and then simply use the wheel to position the fence. Once you have it where you want it, just pull up on the tensioner to lock it in place. Even though table saws are precision cutting tools, I always like to double-check the gap between the fence and blade with a tape measure. This is just the old adage, measure twice, cut once!

Safety Accessories and Storage

Accessory storage

As you would expect, this saw is equipped with a full suite of safety accessories. The list includes a push stick, Smart Guard with anti-kickback pawls, and a miter gauge.

Accessory storage

Unlike its predecessor, this saw features an open cage design that grants you better access to the accessories. There’s also a cord wrap on the end to keep everything nice and organized when the saw is not in use.

Gravity Rise Stand

One of the biggest improvements on this saw is the folding stand. While the Gravity Rise stand isn’t new, Bosch redesigned the release mechanism that makes setup a breeze. They did away with the hand operated lever and replaced it with a foot pedal, allowing you to to keep both hands on the handle while unfolding the stand.

It’s a small change, but it really does make a noticeable difference, especially if you’ve used the older version.

Clamp Zones

Clamp Zone

Rounding out the feature set, Bosch designed this table saw with integrated “clamp zones” on both ends of the table. These zones come in handy when you need to convert your table saw into a usable work surface for other drilling and driving tasks in between cuts. The robust edges allow you to clamp materials directly to the cutting table without the need for additional sawhorses or tables.

Again, it’s another small feature, but it made a big impact on our testing team!

Dust Collection

Dust port

Dust collection is a big deal for table saws, especially when working indoors. One odd change we encountered from the previous model is that Bosch traded its metal dust port for a plastic dust port. Moreover, the plastic port is a non-standard size so none of our vacuum hoses fit, and Bosch didn’t include an adapter.

To add some additional context, we took a few measurements with our digital calipers. The dust port measures 2.23 inches wide on the inside and has a 2.47-inch diameter on the outside. Our DeWalt shop vac hose measures 2.08 inches on the inside and 2.27 inches when measured from the outside. We also tried every vacuum hose we had on hand, and none of them fit in or on the dust port.

Granted, this could be a slight manufacturing error, but this was simply our experience. It’s a minor inconvenience but can be an issue for some folks.

Additional Features

  • Power button safety
  • Removable fence
