Heavy duty and quiet… not exactly two words you hear paired up in the description of an air compressor very often. DeWalt is changing that with its new DeWalt Heavy Duty 200 PSI Quiet Trim Compressor. Focusing on the quiet side of the feature set, users will notice a significant increase in the ability to hear what is going on around them when this compressor is in operation. Coming in at only 71.5 dBa, DeWalt tells us that this unit is up to 50% quieter than the competition. In fact, on the product page, a sound comparison is set up for you to hear the difference between the DeWalt Quiet Trim Compressor and a Porter-Cable pancake model.
In addition to its volume, the compressor features a 2.5-gallon tank, a maximum pressure of 200 PSI, and produces 3.0 Standard Cubic Feet per Minute (SCFM) at 90 PSI. That’s enough to run up to three finish nailers at once, although users will find only two quick couplers on it. Making it even more convenient, the unit can be stored and operated horizontally or vertically. The size makes it great for portability, and it’s got enough airflow that you would likely be able to do some light framing in a pinch.
