HART 20V Cordless 1/4-Sheet Sander
For many DIYers, a 1/4-sheet sander is the way to go for economical sanding. In terms of how much you pay per square inch of sandpaper, buying in sheets is the least expensive. Just cut them into 1/4 sheets, clamp them onto the sander, use the hole punch to open up the vacuum slots, and get to work.

HART 20V Cordless Detail Sander
HART’s detail sander uses a triangular (delta) pad style that reaches into corners and between narrow pieces to sand where rectangular and circular styles can’t reach. This sander uses a hook and loop pad, making it easier than the 1/4-sheet sander to attach new sandpaper.
The removal rate is a little lower, hitting 11,000 OPM. Ergonomically, the grip area is very similar to the 1/4-sheet sander. Unlike the other sanders in HART’s lineup, this one doesn’t have a vacuum port, so there’s a bit more to clean up if you’re working inside. Fortunately, HART has cordless vacuum options to make that an easier chore.

HART 20V Cordless Random Orbital Sander
Rounding out the line, HART’s random orbit sander offers the best overall finish. Its orbit pattern is literally random, so the tiny swirl marks you might see from other sander patterns aren’t there.
The oscillation rate is the slowest of the group, but at 10,000 OPM, it’s certainly a very capable sander. Plus, its 5-inch pad covers a larger area than the other models and has the convenience of a hook and loop connection.
Like the other sanders, the grip areas are well-designed. This model includes a dust port and there’s a bag in the box. You can also attach a 1 1/4 or 1 7/8-inch hose if you’re using a vacuum.
