So Hilti is one of those beloved brand names in the world of rotary hammers, among other things. Their TE 6-A36 is well-renowned for its ability to serially drill holes in stone and concrete. But as you might imagine, it not only falls on the heavier side of the spectrum, but it also uses a 36V battery platform that not every Hilti fan has necessarily bought into. Well, for those of you who have wished that Hilti would release the same rotary hammer on the 22v platform, we’ve got great news. At this past year’s World Of Concrete Event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Hilti revealed that they planned to do just that. The Hilti TE 6-A22 carries the same specs as their popular 36V rotary hammer, but operates on a 22V platform.
That’s the same exact specs. No drop in performance just because you’re going down to the 22V battery.
The 22V version of this rotary hammer won’t run quite as long as the 36V version, but the weight reduction will appeal to a lot of Pros out there. Plus, those folks who currently use Hilti’s 22V platform, but who haven’t yet committed to the 36V platform will find themselves in real good shape when it comes to cordless rotary hammers.
Because the Hilti TE 6-A22 has the same size and shape as the 36V version, it can operate in conjunction with the OSHA-compliant TE DRS-6-A dust removal system.
