Ryobi has several power source options spanning both its 18V and 40V systems. In 2026, three new models join the roster: two on the 18V ONE+ platform and one that uses their 40V batteries. I’m walking you through what’s new, what they can do, and who they’re a good fit for.
Ryobi 40V 300W Power Source

- Model: Ryobi RY40BG02
- Max wattage: 300W
- Power source: 40V Ryobi battery
- Solar charging compatible
- Charge time: 105 min (4.0Ah battery)
- Weight: 2 lb
- Three-mode LED task light
- Auto-shutdown
Ryobi’s second-iteration 40V power source is the RY40BG02. Unlike the first model, this tool also charges your Ryobi 40V batteries and can top off a 4.0Ah pack in around 105 minutes.
As a power source, you can use it to power devices like lights, fans, and kitchen appliances. Pure sine wave technology also allows you to charge sensitive devices like phones, tablets, and laptops. Ryobi claims up to seven full phone charges using a 4.0Ah 40V battery.
On the design side, you get a carrying handle to help you transport it. An LED task light illuminates your surroundings in dark settings, with three lighting modes to choose from. Additionally, each function (task light, USB ports, and AC power) has its own individual on/off button, letting you prioritize your runtime for the tasks you need.
Finally, this model is also compatible with Ryobi solar panels that can use the USB-C port to charge your 40V batteries completely off the grid.
Should You Buy It?
Is the Ryobi 40V 300-Watt power source/charger a jobsite workhorse? No, and that’s by design. Where it excels is in recreation and outdoor settings, as well as for supplementary home power. If you’re already on Ryobi’s 40V system, your existing batteries will come in handy for on-the-go phone charging, powering camping equipment, and more. The added 40V battery charging function and solar-compatible design are also nice upgrades over the Ryobi RYi300BG.

Ryobi 18V One+ 200W Power Source/Charger

- Model: Ryobi PCLBG06
- Max wattage: 200W
- Power source: Ryobi 18V battery
- Solar charging compatible
- Charge time: 35 mins (2.0Ah battery)
- Three-mode LED task light
- Auto-shutdown
- Integrated phone/tablet holder
The Ryobi PCLBG06 is a 200W power source powered by an 18V One+ battery. Similar to the 40V model mentioned above, it can also charge your 18V batteries, filling a 2.0Ah pack in as little as 35 minutes via the USB-C port and included adapter.
Also similar to the 40V model is this power source’s solar function for battery charging. It’s compatible with Ryobi 21W and 60W solar panels (also via the USB-C port).
Speaking of ports, you get a 60W USB-C port, a 30W USB-C port, an 18W USB-A port, and a 120V AC (ungrounded) outlet. Pure sine wave technology also provides higher-quality power for sensitive electronics like phones and tablets, charging them without damaging the battery.
For design, this Ryobi power source also has a three-mode LED task light. You do get individual on/off buttons for the task light, USB ports, and AC power port, letting you conserve your battery if you want to temporarily disable any connected devices. Finally, there’s an integrated holder on top of the unit that lets you easily watch or stream content while charging your phone or tablet.
Should You Buy It?
If you’re already on Ryobi’s 18V platform, you have close to a dozen power source models to choose from. As Ryobi’s first 200W unit, it’s ideal for powering and charging your small electronics and other recreational gear on the go. Most notably, the USB-C port lets you charge your Ryobi 18V batteries with this device, giving you another great reason to consider picking one up.
While it understandably has less maximum power capacity (200W) than the 40V 300W power source, it provides many similar functions at the same bare-tool price point. I love that Ryobi catered to its entire user base by providing two models that cover everyone!

Ryobi 18V One+ 150W Power Source

- Model: Ryobi PCLBG07
- Max wattage: 150W
- Power source: Ryobi 18V battery
- Three-mode LED task light
- Auto-shutdown
- Integrated phone/tablet holder
The Ryobi PCLBG07 power source uses your 18V One+ battery for convenient, portable power. Unlike the first two entries on this list, this model does not have a battery-charging function. It’s purely a power source for on-the-go use.
Similar to the other battery inverters, this power source also features pure sine wave technology and a three-mode LED work light.
It includes a single USB-C 30W port, an 18W USB-A port, and a 120V AC (ungrounded) outlet. It also features individual on/off buttons for the task light, USB ports, and AC outlet. As with the PCLBG06 power source, there’s an integrated phone or tablet holder on top of the unit to display your screen while you charge.
Should You Buy It?
At $69.97, this is the most budget-friendly model out of Ryobi’s three newest power sources. Compared to the 18V PCLBG06, the PCLBG07 provides 50W less power and lacks some of the bells and whistles, like a charging function and solar compatibility. However, if you just want a power source to charge your devices on the go, this model is among the least expensive in Ryobi’s 18V lineup.
