Ariat Teams Up with Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors, and You Can Help

Across this great country, you’ll find people who feel a deep sense of gratitude toward those who have defended the freedoms we enjoy. Some have responded in significant ways by giving of their time, talents, and finances. One of them is former NFL defensive end and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jared Allen, who founded Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors (JAH4WW). Ariat is continuing its partnership with the foundation with a $100,000 contribution, and you can help deepen the impact.

Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors

When a warrior is wounded in battle, the consequences are often life-changing. We rightly honor them for their sacrifice, but when they return home, they have to adapt to a new normal that can take on many different forms. One of the changes is that the home they left when they answered the call to serve no longer fits their needs.

Jared Allen saw this firsthand on a 2009 USO tour. He felt compelled to act and created Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors. For more than 15 years, the foundation has been building mortgage-free custom homes for combat-wounded veterans that accommodate their unique needs.

Allen explained why the work matters:

“For the veterans we serve, the right home can give them back a level of independence that most of us take for granted. Partners like Ariat understand that supporting veterans is about showing up and taking action. Their support helps us build homes around the individual needs of these men and women and also gives them and their families the freedom to focus on what comes next. They fought for our freedom. We’re just trying to give them back theirs.”

Marine Corps veteran Josh Wege lost both of his legs in an IED strike in Afghanistan, and his family is one of many the organization has helped. Here’s what he had to say about the impact of their work:

“This home has given me and my family a level of freedom and independence that’s hard to put into words. It was built around how we live our lives, and that makes a difference every single day. Knowing there are people like Jared and partners like Ariat willing to step up and support veterans and their families means a lot.”

Ariat’s Contribution and How You Can Help

Ariat has partnered with JAH4WW for the past ten years. Susan Alcala, Vice President, Partnership Marketing at Ariat, put it this way:

“What Jared and his team are doing goes far beyond building homes—they’re helping veterans and their families move forward with greater independence and peace of mind. We believe one of the most meaningful ways to show gratitude for their service is through action, and we are proud to stand alongside them.”

Ahead of Veterans Day, Ariat is making a $100,000 contribution to JAH4WW and issuing a call to action to all its customers who want to support the foundation’s work.
