Ryobi 40V HP Brushless 21-inch Self-Propelled All-Wheel-Drive Multi-Blade Mower

Leading things off for this winter, Ryobi announced several new pieces of outdoor power equipment joining the lineup. This includes a total of five 40V lawn mowers, with the flagship new model being the 21-inch Self-Propelled AWD Multi-Blade Mower.
The RY40HPLM03K2 has an impressive gas engine equivalence of 196cc. Using both kitted batteries, it can run for up to 75 minutes, making it ideal for residential lawns up to 3/4 of an acre. Ryobi also implemented its well-known Cross-Cut multi-blade system, which finely mulches grass blades for fewer clumps, even blade dispersal, and a higher cut quality.
- Model: Ryobi RY40HPLM03K2
- Gas equivalence: 196cc
- Power source: Ryobi 40V batteries
- Max runtime: 75 mins
- Deck width: 21 in
- Dual active battery ports
- Cross-Cut blade system
- All-wheel-drive
- Adaptive variable speed
Price: $799 kit with (2) 40V 6.0Ah batteries
Ryobi 40V HP Brushless 17-inch Attachment Capable String Trimmer

Along with the five new mowers, Ryobi has two new string trimmers joining the 40V system: a 15-inch model and a 17-inch model. The 17-inch RY40HPST02 has a 32cc gas equivalence, making it a true gas replacement for demanding residential trimming tasks. This is Ryobi’s most powerful 40V model to date, ideal for serious residential lawn care.
You can set your cutting swath to be between 15 and 17 inches, optimizing between runtime and performance. Speaking of runtime, Ryobi estimates up to 45 minutes when you use the kitted 4.0Ah 40V battery. Two power settings and a variable speed trigger let you control your runtime even further.
As an attachment-capable model, this string trimmer is also compatible with Ryobi Expand-It attachments and other universal attachments. This is beneficial for those with limited storage space in their garage or shed, letting you stay on top of your lawn care while taking up less space.
- Model: Ryobi RY40HPST02
- Gas equivalence: 32cc
- Max runtime: 45 mins (w/ 4.0Ah battery)
- Cutting swath: 15-17 in
- Whisper Series

Ryobi 18V One+ 4 1/2-inch Circular Saw

The Ryobi PCL400 is the brand’s first 4 1/2-inch circular saw on the 18V One+ platform. It’s much more compact than a standard 6 1/2-inch or 7 1/4-inch model, enabling easy one-handed use. Despite this, its 1 9/16-inch maximum cutting depth can still cut through 2-by material in a single pass.
While this model does have a brushed motor, Ryobi estimates up to 300 cuts on a single charge using the kitted 2.0Ah High Performance battery. Comparatively, Ryobi’s 5 1/2-inch brushed circular saw tops out at 215 cuts per charge using a standard 4.0Ah battery. The 4 1/2-inch blade on the PCL400 draws less power, leading to more runtime, even with the smaller-capacity battery.
If you’re looking for something compact for smaller household projects that’s still relatively affordable, consider the PCL400.
- Model: Ryobi PCL400
- Depth of cut: 1 9/16-inch
- Max speed: 5200 RPM
- Bevel range: 0ยฐ – 45ยฐ
- Runtime: 300 cuts per charge
Price: $59.97 bare; $99 kit with a 2.0Ah battery and charger
Ryobi 18V One+ One-Handed Reciprocating Saw

The Ryobi PCL510 one-handed reciprocating saw is another 18V cutting solution released this season. The main draw with this tool is its one-handed compact design, allowing for easy handling in tight spaces. It weighs just 2.2 pounds bare, and Ryobi describes it as an ideal solution for home improvement and DIY projects.
Like the compact circular saw listed above, this tool has a brushed motor, which also helps it prioritize value for those who don’t need all the bells and whistles of a Pro-grade on-hand or full-size saws. Despite this, it delivers stroke lengths of up to 3000 SPM with a 5/8-inch stroke length, which are actually the same specs you’ll find in Ryobi’s HP Brushless PSBRS01 one-handed model.
- Model: Ryobi PCL510
- Weight: 2.2 lbs
- Max speed: 3000 SPM
- Stroke length: 5/8-inch
- Non-marring shoe
Price: $59.97 bare; $99 kit with a 2.0Ah battery and charger
Ryobi 2100 PSI 1.2 GPM Electric Pressure Washer

If you’re already planning your spring cleaning routine to wash away that winter grime, Ryobi has two new electric pressure washers to offer. The stronger of the two, the RY142012, reaches max pressure levels of 2100 PSI and delivers up to 1.2 GPM of water flow. While this pressure washer wonโt remove heavy-duty stains or grime, its higher pressure rating makes it ideal for medium-duty cleaning tasks, like sidewalks, fencing, home siding, and more.
It features a new design that stores the soap nozzle directly onboard behind the front door of the unit, eliminating the need for a separate storage location. It also offers onboard storage for the other nozzles and the 25-foot high-pressure hose. Plus, at $199, it’s still a good value within Ryobi’s pressure washer roster.
- Model: Ryobi RY142012
- Max pressure rating: 2100 PSI
- Max water flow: 1.2 GPM
- High-pressure hose length: 25 ft
- Cord length: 35 ft
- 1/4-inch quick-connect coupler
- Onboard storage
- Includes two nozzles
- Warranty: 3 years
Price: $199
Ryobi USB Lithium Pruning Shears

Ryobi offers a couple of battery-powered pruning shears on the 18V platform, but the FVPS51K marks the first USB Lithium pruner model. It has a 3/4-inch cutting capacity, letting you slice through branches and limbs up to that thickness. This is the same cutting capacity seen in the 18V P2540, although the new 4V model shaves off around 1.5 pounds in weight, which is ideal for those looking for a more compact solution.
Using the included 2.0Ah USB Lithium battery, Ryobi estimates up to 450 cuts per charge. Similar to what we see in Ryobi’s other pruners, this model also features a two-finger trigger for added cutting safety.
- Model: Ryobi FVPS51K
- Cut capacity: 3/8-inch
- Max runtime: 450 cuts per charge
- Weight: 1.2 pounds
- Two-finger trigger
- LED battery indicator
Price: $69.97 kit with 2.0Ah battery
Ryobi USB Lithium 3-Port Charger and Power Source

Another tool for USB Lithium users, the Ryobi FVCH03 is a 2-in-1 charger/power source compatible with USB Lithium 4V batteries. It can charge up to three batteries consecutively using the included USB-C charging cord. But, unlike Ryobi’s first-gen 4V consecutive charger (FVCH01), this model also functions as a power source to charge your devices on the go.
The design team made the FVCH03 compact and travel-friendly, with a design that fits easily in your pocket or attaches to your bag or belt. While it costs around $20 more than the first-iteration 3-port charger, I think the design upgrades and added power source function make the price increase well worth it, especially since it still hits a price point of under $50.
- Model: Ryobi FVCH03
- USB-C charging port
- 3 battery slots
- Consecutively charge up to 3 USB Lithium batteries
- Charge rate: 2A
- LED battery indicators
Price: $49.97
