DeWalt Updates Its Heat Gun Lineup With Its First Cordless Iteration

Heat guns have a ton of practical applications, ranging from DIY and household projects all the way to professional jobsites. DeWalt’s heat gun lineup has thus far been limited to corded models, that is until the release of the 20V Heat Gun (DCE530). We’re looking at this cordless tool to see what it has to offer for a variety of jobsite applications.

The DeWalt DCE530 heat gun features two heat settings, reaching up to 550°F on low and achieving a maximum temperature of 990°F on high. It has a maximum airflow volume of 6.7 CFM.

This tool includes two nozzles to help you direct heat in different ways. There’s a flat nozzle attachment to concentrate your heat in a horizontal line, and a hook nozzle attachment which is ideal for shrink-wrapping or heating pipes.

You can lock the trigger on or off, for either hands-free use or to avoid unintentional tool activation. For runtimes, you can expect to get up to 42 minutes of use in the lowest setting per charge.

Finally, there’s an onboard LED work light that helps you see in dimly lit areas.
