While it costs a bit more than some other models in this class, and the smaller wheels may be a dear-breaker for tougher jobsites, no other brands have the same level of storage convenience we see in the DeWalt jobsite pressure washers. Even years after the first iteration, we’re still a little surprised that more brands aren’t following suit with a design similar to DeWalt’s. In the case of this 2600 PSI model, you get mid-range electric performance that’s useful for on-site and home outdoor cleaning. However, for tougher jobs such as paint and graffiti removal, you may want to step up to a stronger model.

DeWalt DWPW2600 Offers Compact Cleaning, Powerful Performance

DeWalt’s electric pressure washer lineup spans several units and a variety of performance levels. On the design side, DeWalt has shaken things up a bit with three models that feature a uniquely compact roll cage blueprint. We reviewed the 2100 PSI pressure washer in this series back in 2022, and now, I have my hands on the next model up, the DeWalt 2600 PSI DWPW2600 pressure washer. Is it the right model to help you tackle your spring cleaning?

Pros

  • Onboard accessory storage
  • Light enough to carry
  • CETA-certified performance

DeWalt 2600 PSI Pressure Washer Performance

For such a compact electric pressure washer, the DeWalt DWPW2600 has a fairly impressive output. The 13-amp motor produces up to 2600 PSI of force with a flow rate of 1.1 GPM.

Those of you considering this for professional use, note that it uses an axial cam pump. That’s fine for residential or low-hour professional use. However, if you’re expecting it to be in service frequently, a Triplex pump is the better bet.

It’s worth noting that DeWalt’s 2100 PSI model had a slightly higher 1.2 GPM flow rate. While the 1.1 GPM level in the DWPW2600 isn’t the highest we’ve tested, it’s still effective at rinsing dirt away after pressure washing.

During my testing, I put it to work removing stubborn dirt and algae from vinyl fencing without any added chemicals. It also had no issues rinsing away the grime that came off of my paved walkway, despite a lower GPM output.

Kenny has got his hands on it as well, seeing how well it could handle a 14-inch surface cleaner on concrete. Compared to most of the other electric pressure washers we’ve tested, it was noticeably more confident. He noted that he wouldn’t push up to a 16-inch surface cleaner, but that the 13 to 14-inch class is the sweet spot for efficiency and effectiveness.

DeWalt 2600 PSI Pressure Washer Design

Size and Weight

This pressure washer is extremely compact and surprisingly lightweight for its performance level, weighing around 27 pounds. That’s more than manageable for most people, and in fact, I was able to lift and move the DWPW2600 with just one arm.

It features a rolling, suitcase-like design, with a telescoping handle and two wheels to easily move between work areas. Other pressure washers come equipped with larger wheels or even heavy-duty tires, which may work better for wheeling the unit over bare ground or grass. However, it seems the design team was prioritizing keeping the form factor as compact and lightweight as possible, and that trade-off is worth it for me.

Since this model is marketed as a jobsite pressure washer, the smaller wheels may be a deal-breaker for those who often work in dirt-filled environments or unsteady terrains. However, for residential use, the wheels are unlikely to present an issue.

Compared to the 2100 PSI model, this one is only marginally larger, at 24.6 x 15.7 x 11 inches. The rectangular silhouette also tucks away much more easily in storage than many standard pressure washer designs.

Additionally, its 35-foot power cord and 25-foot kink-resistant high-pressure hose provide plenty of reach for cleaning larger areas.

Onboard Accessory Storage

Speaking of storage, DeWalt had a few great onboard accessory features with this pressure washer that they carried over from the previous iteration.

First, the wand breaks down into three pieces that store in an internal compartment on the unit. While most pressure washers have some kind of onboard accessory storage system, this one is truly unique to DeWalt’s three jobsite pressure washers.

DeWalt 2600 PSI Pressure Washer Storage

However, one downside to this storage method is its lack of external wand storage, as you’d find on many other pressure washers. The pressure washer wand and trigger handle must be fully broken down for storage when the job is complete.

DeWalt 2600 PSI Pressure Washer Handle

Next, the trigger handle itself has storage slots for up to three nozzles, which is the same design as we saw in the 2100 PSI model. You can store the 15°, 25°, and 40° nozzles here.

However, I found that the Turbo nozzle is slightly too heavy to keep stored in the handle, and as a result, it slipped out of the storage slot a couple of times while I was working. If you don’t need to keep the Turbo nozzle on hand, there is a dedicated slot for it inside the wand storage compartment on the unit.

Hose and Cord Storage

DeWalt made it very easy to keep the hose and power cord tangle-free when the pressure washer isn’t in use. The cord wraps neatly around the plastic cleats on one side of the unit, and the coiled hose tucks securely under the handle on the opposite side.

Compared to other corded pressure washers I’ve used in the past, this design involved much less fuss when securing the hose and cord away for storage.

Foam Cannon

Unlike the 2100 PSI model, which featured an onboard removable detergent tank, the DeWalt DWPW2600 comes with a quick-connect foam cannon. It fastens to the end of the wand to spray foam detergent or soap onto your cleaning surface.

DeWalt 2600 PSI Pressure Washer Price

This pressure washer retails for $399, and you can find it at your preferred DeWalt retailer. DeWalt backs your purchase with a 3-year warranty and 1 year of free service.

The Bottom Line

While it costs a bit more than some other models in this class, no other brands have the same level of storage convenience we see in the DeWalt jobsite pressure washers. If a compact frame and easy transport are a priority for you, you’d be hard-pressed to find a series of pressure washers better suited.

In the case of this 2600 PSI model, you get mid-range electric performance that’s useful for on-site and home outdoor cleaning. In terms of applications, anything up to concrete cleaning is on the menu. However, for tougher jobs such as paint and graffiti removal, you’ll want more cleaning power.

Even years after the first iteration, we’re still a little surprised that more brands aren’t following suit with a design similar to DeWalt’s. However, for those looking for top-of-the-line cleaning, DeWalt’s 3000 PSI DWPW3000 is where this series of electric pressure washers tops out.
