Overall, we like the Greenworks Pro 60V 300W power inverter. With a single 120V outlet and dual USB ports, you get a lot of charging and power options. While a tad pricey, it works as a very handy peripheral device to go along with your Greenworks 60V yard tools.

The Greenworks 60V 300W power inverter (model 2950102T) is a battery inverter that works with any of the company’s 60V batteries. It makes a lot of sense as an add-on if you’re already using 60V tools from Greenworks Pro to take care of your yard work. This 60V 300-watt power inverter simply converts that battery energy into power you can use for charging your electronics or powering small tools like LED work lights and more.


Using the Greenworks 60V 300W Inverter

It operates simply. You just take your battery and slide it in—just like you do on your Greenworks 60V chainsaw or other cordless power tools. You’ll both feel and hear it lock into place. A power switch on top turns on the system and lights up to let you know it’s ready.

Greenworks gives you two USB ports that operate at 2.4A of total current. That means that if you plug in two devices you split that down to 1.2A per port. Since the other limiting factor is the 5V USB output, you won’t get the absolute fastest USB charging possible for some more advanced portable electronics.

This brings us to the next part of the Greenworks 60V 300W power inverter—the 120V outlet.

Using the included 120V outlet, you can use any regular adapter and charge your phone or laptop at maximum speeds—just plug it in.

How Much Power and Runtime to Expect

Since you have a 300W maximum power output, let’s look at what that means for most electronic and powered devices:

  • V (voltage) x I (current) = W (power)
  • 54V (nominal) x I = 300W
  • I = 300W / 54V
  • I = 5.6A (amps)

Now, you have to take into account that what you’re actually plugging in runs at ~120V (hence the need for the inverter device). That yields the following:

  • 120V x I = 300W
  • I = 300W / 120V
  • I = 2.5A (amps)

Based on our math, you can expect to plug in 120V devices up to around 2.5-amps and power them with the Greenworks 60V 300W inverter. Any higher than that and you really exceed the rating for the system.

However, you also have to factor in battery capacity. If you use the 2Ah battery available in the kit version of this inverter, that provides enough juice to operate a device that draws 1W of power for 108 hours (2Ah x 54V = 108Wh). If we plug in, say, a 10W LED light, that drops down to 10.8 hours.

Camping & Tailgating with a Greenworks Power Inverter

While 300W won’t let you run a circular saw with this inverter, you sure can do a lot. Take camping, for example. The Greenworks 60V 300W inverter can handle LED lights or a small fan. Of course, you can always use it to power and recharge your laptop. Even a 50W laptop will run for over two hours.

That standard 120V outlet also seems like a great application for tailgating. You could easily run a small LCD TV off of this thing. Plus, if you have some extra batteries—you can do so for several hours.

Overall, we like the Greenworks Pro 60V 300W power inverter. It works as a very handy peripheral device to go along with your Greenworks 60V yard tools. You can pick it up for around $99 online or wherever Greenworks tools are sold.

I think you got mixed up with your math. You cant plug in something that pulls 5 amps, it’s a 110v outlet so that would be 550watts which exceeds the capacity of the inverter. The most you can pull on the output side is ~ 2.7 amps
