For the last few years, Hilti has focused heavily on expanding the cordless Nuron lineup, but that doesn’t mean they’ve abandoned their corded roots! Today, we’re taking a look at the Hilti VC 5L Construction Vacuum to see how it can help keep your site clean, dry, and safe!

Hilti designed this vacuum with jobsite cleanliness in mind. The motor delivers up to 125 CFM of airflow with a max vacuum pressure of 2.8 PSI (78.3 IOW). The VC 5L is ideal for wet and dry applications with a max liquid capacity of 5.3 gallons and a 51-pound dust capacity. There’s also a manual push-button filter cleaner to remove dust and clogs to maintain peak performance.
This vacuum comes with a standard dust filter, which is perfect for general cleanup around the jobsite. However, if you need to be OSHA Table 1 compliant for dust extraction, you’ll need to pick up a HEPA filter as well. For best results and easy cleanup, Hilti recommends using a drum liner to contain dust and debris.

Hilti stuck to a classic look for this vacuum. It features two static wheels on the back and a pair of swiveling casters on the front that allow this vacuum to tag along as you clean, or you can lock them to keep the vacuum from moving while on the go.
This vacuum weighs 25 pounds and measures 21 x 15 x 20 inches (L x W x H). Its square design takes up less space than a round drum-style vacuum, and the flat top allows you to stack items on top of it when space is limited.
The vac features a 10-foot long 1 1/2-inch hose with a quick-connect adapter that makes accessory changes a breeze. Hilti also includes a removable accessory rail that clips to either side of the vacuum for easy nozzle and extension storage.

Should I Buy It?
All in all, this is a great vacuum for general jobsite cleanup and dust collection. The casters roll smoothly on flat surfaces, and the collection bin has plenty of wet and dry capacity. There is something to be desired in terms of cord and hose management, but if you’re looking for a reliable corded vacuum, the Hilti VC 5L is a great option!
