1620 Shop Pant Review – Unbreakable Work Pants?

The 1620 Shop Pant has set out to break our pattern of working in cheap, uncomfortable, disposable workwear. For its premium price, the Shop Pant promises unmatched comfort and durability with stretchable, abrasion-resistant fabrics. I put on my pants like everyone else—but let’s see if I’m much more comfortable when I work. Pros Significant stretchability […]

Grundens Storm Rider Jacket and Bib Pants Rain Gear

Grundens Storm Rider Jacket and Bib Pants Rain Gear

Grundens is a brand most closely associated with the fishing industry. I’m not talking about those professional bass fishermen, I’m talking Deadliest Catch type commercial guys that need rain gear on a whole other level. While that’s what they’re most well-known for around most circles, the fact of the matter is they make gear that […]

Walls 832 Move it Pants

Walls 832 Move It Pants Review

Who loves shopping for workwear? If you’re used to stiff, heavy clothing that can stand up to the jobsite with all the style of a kindergartener’s drawing, your hand is probably still down. The great thing about the current trend in workwear is that you can kiss those archaic thoughts goodbye – if you know […]

Truewerk G2 Werkpant Review

Truewerk G2 WerkPant Review: Industrial Athletes Only

Most contractors or tradesmen probably don’t think of themselves as athletes in their specific fields. So when I heard the term “industrial athlete” from Truewerk, they had my interest. When we think of any Pro athlete, we know that the gear that they use is not what you pick up at your local discount retailer. […]

Grundens Rain Gear Review: Herkules Bib Pants and Ragnar Jacket

Dickies Pro 3-in-1 Integrated Outerwear System

Being a fairly avid outdoor guy makes it so that I have not only experienced climate change in real time but also the realities of staying dry and warm for survival. The environmental conditions can range greatly here in North America from sweltering heat and torrential downpours to blizzard like conditions and everything in between. As […]

Wolverine Workwear for Contractors and Tradesmen

How you look on a jobsite reflects (to your clients, at least) how well you will manage a project or carry it through to completion. There’s something about a well-dressed tradesman or supervisor that sends the message: “This is a person who cares about his or her own appearance.” The perception is that they’ll care about […]

Blaklader Bantam Utility Pocket Pants - light duty knee pads

Blaklader Bantam Utility Pocket Pants Review

There are plenty of work pants to choose from and some brands have a very long history and faithful following but they often lack innovation. The Blaklader Bantam Utility Pocket Pants are here to challenge what work pants are all about. With pockets in the right places and details that make life on the job easier, we really could not find any faults. Right out of the box they fit comfortable and did not require multiple wash cycles to get them pliable. While they might not win fashion shows with the outside utility pockets, most guys that actually have to work for a living won’t care. These utility pockets are just the right size and in the right location that they quickly become second nature to utilize them. Just in case you are slightly fashion conscious, there are pockets behind the utility pockets that allow them to be tucked away when not needed. If you ask us, we think that these just might just be the best work pants ever.
