Milwaukee Diagonal Pliers 48-22-4106 Review

As an electrician, diagonal pliers are definitely a tool I use a lot in the field. This is especially true with commercial work where you have to cut a lot of cable and wire. Milwaukee’s Diagonal Pliers (48-22-4106) made a clean cut every single time I went to use them. This week we’re working on a remodel job on a commercial building built in the 1930’s. While some walls have been torn down and rebuilt, there are still some that are the original concrete block. On these I have had to put conduit and electrical boxes. Normally, this would be easy, but the wall was literally riddled with nails and screws. I found that these pliers were able to cut through the nails and screws with little to no difficulty. It sort of became my go-to tool for getting through the nitty gritty of clearing my area.

As an electrician, diagonal pliers are definitely a tool I use a lot in the field. This is especially true with commercial work where you have to cut a lot of cable and wire. Milwaukee Diagonal Pliers 48-22-4106 Features

Milwaukee really had a good idea when they decided to put screw cutters on this tool as well. The leverage I was able to get on the handles of the Milwaukee Diagonal Pliers 48-22-4106 was impressive and reduced wrist and hand fatigue during even repetitive use. I also like that it cuts very easily through pieces of solid wire used to support the 2′ x 4′ florescent lights. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but when you have over 300 of those lights to put in, it is definitely nice to not hurt your hands with every snip. Typically, the alternative is to use a bigger tool, but the layout of the Milwaukee Diagonal Pliers makes them especially efficient for their size. We found that it will also ream out the inside of a 3/4” conduit perfectly and with little effort.

This tool is one of the best pairs of diagonal pliers I have ever used. I really like that it has more features than our regular pair. That translated into less reaching for tools and more work, plus it was less to carry. If you don’t already own a good pair of diagonal pliers, we would seriously recommend the Milwaukee 48-22-4106. if you already have a good pair, you may still be tempted by the additional features it offers. You can also get the Milwaukee diagonal pliers in 6″, 7″, or 8″ versions. You owe it to yourself to at least pick up this and other Milwaukee hand tools at your local dealer or home improvement warehouse to see, for yourself, how they feel.
