Wolverine Ironwood Jacket Announced

Wolverine Ironwood Jacket

Wolverine, known for its work boots and apparel, recently added the Wolverine Ironwood Jacket to its product offering.  With a fully gusseted bi-swing back and articulated elbow design, the jacket features sherpa lining, storm cuffs at the neck, wrists, and waist, and magnetic pocket closures. It’s made of 100% cotton duck canvas with rolled shoulders, a three-piece hood with metal tip draw cord, and extended tail. It’s prewashed to minimize shrinkage and available in bison and chestnut in men’s sizes M-XXL.

“When creating the Ironwood jacket, we challenged ourselves to add as many functional features to one jacket as possible, and still make it look great. The 10 ounce duck canvas provides a rugged and durable exterior and the hidden rib storm cuffs, collar and waistband seal in warmth and create a barrier to keep the wind from blowing into the jacket. Magnetic closures on all exterior pockets are easy to open, secure all your stuff and keep work debris out.”

Our Take

It’s getting cold outside and when the temperatures really drop, Wolverine is a brand I can count on to keep me warn and dry against the elements. There are a couple of features that stand out on the Wolverine Ironwood jacket. First of all, the gusseted back is a must have on any heavier jacket to ensure that you still have movement to work easily. I’m also a huge fan of check pockets, which the Ironwood has. With a 10-ounce cotton duck outer and 9.7-ounce polyester Sherpa lining, the Ironwood should be able to handle just about any cold temps winter has to throw at you this year.
