Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher

Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher Application

Milwaukee is giving auto shop detailers the opportunity to drop the cord for good with the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher. The M12 Polisher/Sander was certainly a step forward, but the M18 Fuel model gives users the power and run time to polish a full-size car on one charge.

Milwaukee claims this is the only cordless tool of its size and capacity. They tell us the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher features a design that focuses on three key benefits: speed control, balance, and weight.

Speed control is accomplished with a combination of variable speed and dial trigger to harness the 2,200 RPMs. Balance is achieved with the design distributing more of its weight over the pad, providing natural pressure on the surface area and more comfort to the user. This comes to a realized benefit when polishing in the center of larger areas like hoods or roofs. Milwaukee shaved the weight down to roughly a pound lighter than leading corded competitors which should reduce fatigue while improving maneuverability.

“Polishers play a crucial role in the automotive detailing industry. Because cordless options today do not have the power to complete large polishing projects, users are hindered by tools with cords that they have to wrestle with. Frequently they’ll need to throw these cords over their shoulders and adjust those cords to keep from dragging along the side of the car and creating more scratches. This constant distraction can be a huge productivity-killer. By incorporating our three exclusive innovations – the PowerState brushless motor, RedLithium battery pack, and Redlink Plus Intelligence – our new M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher allows for maximum productivity and delivers game-changing performance that rivals similar corded polishers.”

– Andrew Plowman, Director of Marketing for Milwaukee Tool

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-Inch Variable Speed Polisher can complete a full-size car using the kitted 5.0 amp hour battery packs. With the quick charger, rotating between the two batteries should get you through a full day. For even more run time, keep your eyes open for Milwaukee’s 9.0 amp hour battery later this year. Look for the Polisher to be on store shelves this month.
