Ridgid Swiv-L-Punch Knockout Punch Head

Ridgid Swiv-L-Punch Knockout Punch Head

The new Ridgid Swiv-L-Punch Knockout Punch Head is one of three interchangeable heads designed for Ridgid’s new RE 6 electrical tool. It punches up to 4-inch holes in 12 gauge mild steel and 14 gauge stainless steel. The Swiv-L-Punch is inserted and removed from the RE 6 by pulling back the collar of Ridgid’s QuickChange system (QCS) while two points of 360 degree rotation – the main cylinder and around the QCS – allow the user to position the tool as needed.

“The new features of the Swiv-L-Punch Knockout Punch Head are designed to make hole-making for electrical contractors even easier with the RE 6. When the RE 6 Electrical Tool was introduced it was a game changer for contractors, helping them save time and space, and the new Swiv-L-Punch only adds to its time-saving benefit.”

The Bottom Line

There’s not really much difference in what you can do with the new Swiv-L-Punch Knockout Punch Head is really about making a more compact design to bring more versatility to the RE 6. If you’re in the market for Ridgid’s feature electrical tool, it’s a rolling change that now comes with the set rather than an accessory you’ll have to go out and buy. If you’re already in the system, it’s a little under the $500 mark to bring it in.
