Tytan Fill All Insulating Foam Sealant

Tytan Fill All

Selena USA recently introduced Tytanย Fill All, a new insulating foam sealant designed toย distinguish itself by filling both small and large gaps from 1/4-inch to 3-inches without losing adhesion or effectiveness. Products currently on the market are gap-specific – that is, one insulating foam sealant is best for smaller gaps and another is best for larger gaps. But Tytan Fill All is for general gap filling applications as well as around windows, doors, and other small gap applications.

Tytan Fill All comes in a 12-ounce can with straw applicator. It canย be cut after 60 minutes, it hardensย in six hours, and is fully cured in 24 hours (40% R.H. at 68ยฐF). Higher humidity and temperatures will speed up the curing process. Cured foam can be cut, sanded or painted.

โ€œWe have tested TYTAN Fill All against the leading competitorโ€™s project-specific products for small gaps and large gaps and weโ€™ve found it outperforms both products in terms of keeping its seal and adhesion in the face of temperature, climate and construction changes over the long term.โ€

Our Take

People have used Great Stuff and similar products to fill gaps for years. I remember seeing remnants of it all over my dad’s old boat. The problem occurs when you need a foam that can both fill and seal over the long term. Environmental conditions tend to wreak havoc on the seal as material swell and contract. If Tytan Fill All is as effective as the current hype, you mayย find yourself reaching for a new brand.
