Bosch 18V Battery System Now Powers Seven Lawn Care and Landscaping Tools
Recently, Bosch announced that it would branch out from its focus on jobsite tools, offering a roster of cordless outdoor power equipment. So far, the lineup consists of seven tools, featuring many of the handheld products you need to keep your lawn in shape. I’ll outline the whole Bosch 18V outdoor power equipment lineup to help you decide if it’s time for a cordless upgrade this spring.
Before we jump in, let’s talk expectations. This line seems to be targeting homeowners. That’s a departure from the 100% Pro focus we’re used to in Bosch’s 18V system in the North American market. However, their efforts in the European market have included DIY/homeowner products for a while.
So, this isn’t a huge surprise from a global standpoint, but it is a new strategy for our market.
Bosch 18V Outdoor Power Equipment: The Lineup

Bosch 18V String Trimmer

First up, Bosch has released a new string trimmer for 2026. It features a 16-inch cutting swath, and its brushless motor delivers up to 5300 RPM. As Bosch’s first cordless string trimmer, it’s powered by either a Bosch 18V battery (including the brand’s new Expert batteries, which this model is kitted with) or an AmpShare battery.
While no runtime estimates are provided as of yet, the tabless technology within the Expert battery system offers advanced battery efficiency. There’s an 8.0Ah Expert battery included with the kit, which should be a solid capacity for homeowners with small to medium-sized lawns.
- Model: Bosch GRT18V-40N
- Brushless Motor
- Max Speed: 5300 RPM
- Line Compatibility: 0.080-inch and 0.095-inch
- Cutting Swath: 16 inches
Price: $219 bare, $349 kit with Bosch 18V Expert 8.0Ah battery and charger
Bosch 18V 24-inch Hedge Trimmer

Also new for 2026, Bosch has introduced its first standard hedge trimmer on the 18V platform. It delivers speeds of up to 2800 SPM, and a 3/4-inch cut capacity lets you cut through branches and limbs up to that thickness. Plus, it’s outfitted with Bosch’s anti-blocking technology to help minimize jams and interruptions.
Bosch tells us this model can run for up to 175 minutes using a 4.0Ah battery. However, it’s kitted with a new Expert 8.0Ah battery, so you can expect even more runtime using that pack. This model is mid-range when it comes to performance, and is ideal for Bosch-wielding homeowners ready to shape up those hedges this spring.
- Model: Bosch GHE18V-60-2N
- Max Speed: 2800 SPM
- Brushless Motor
- Adjustable Multi-Position Handle
- Runtime: 175 min (with 4.0Ah battery)
- Cut Capacity: 3/4-inch
- 24-Tooth Blade
- Dual-Action
Price: $199 bare, $329 kit with Bosch 18V Expert 8.0Ah battery and charger
Bosch 18V 20-inch Pole Hedge Trimmer

Along with the standard hedge trimmer mentioned above, Bosch also added a telescoping pole hedge trimmer to its 18V repertoire. It features an articulating head that pivots between -45° and 90° to reach branches at height at any angle. When fully extended, it has a length of 8.2 feet, which is around a 12-foot reach for a 6-foot-tall user.
Using a Core18V 4.0Ah battery pack, you can get about 75 minutes of runtime. However, like the previous entries on this list, it’s kitted with an 18V Expert 8.0Ah battery, so you can expect more runtime if you go the kitted route. For homeowners looking for a cordless upgrade to handle overgrown shrubs, this model brings what we expect when compared to similarly-classed pole hedge trimmers.
- Model: Bosch GHE18V-50TPN
- Telescopic Pole
- Extended Length: 8.2 ft
- Pivoting Head Range: -45° to 90°
- Max Speed: 3400 SPM

Price: $249 bare, $379 kit with Bosch 18V Expert 8.0Ah battery and charger
Bosch 18V 8-inch Pruning Saw

Bosch’s cordless pruning saw reaches top chain speeds of 23.6 FPS. As an 8-inch model, it can cut through branches up to 6 inches in diameter, which is ideal for handling small shrubs, bushes, and trees around your yard.
Bosch estimates up to 350 cuts in 2×2 pressure-treated wood using a standard 4.0Ah pack. However, as with the other tools on this list, you can expect to push that number further using the Expert (4.0Ah) battery included in the kit.
For safety features, this model implements kickback protection and end-of-cut detection, which engages the chain brake when it detects rapid downward movement.
- Model: Bosch GKE18V-20N
- Bar Length: 8 in
- Chain Speed: 23.6 FPS
- Max Runtime: 350 cuts in 2×2 (with 4.0Ah battery)

Price: $199 bare, $349 kit with Expert 18V 4.0Ah battery and charger
Across the pond in the U.K., Bosch also offers a 6-inch (or 15-cm) model, but since it’s not available in the U.S.A., we’ll leave it off this list for now.
Bosch 18V 10-inch Pole Saw

Along with the above pruning saw, Bosch also offers a pole saw for trimming and pruning trees at height. It has a bit longer of a reach than the pole hedge trimmer, with a telescoping pole that expands to 10 feet. For a 6-foot-tall user, this provides a reach of around 14 feet, including the 10-inch bar. It has a cutting capacity of 8 inches, letting you slice through branches and limbs up to that diameter.
For chain speeds, this saw delivers up to 25.2 FPS, which is just a bit faster than the 8-inch pruner. Bosch estimates up to 124 cuts in 4×4 pressure-treated wood with a standard 8.0Ah 18V battery. If you opt to get the kit, it includes an 8.0Ah Expert battery, which will provide even more runtime.
- Model: Bosch GKE18V-25TPN
- Brushless Motor
- Bar Length: 10 in
- Max Chain Speed: 25.2 FPS
- Telescoping Pole
- Extended Length: 10 ft
- Max Runtime: 124 cuts in 4×4 (with 8.0Ah battery)
- Automatic Oiler
- Tooled Chain Tensioning
Price: $269 bare, $399 kit with Expert 18V 8.0Ah battery and charger
Bosch 18V Blower

Bosch’s 18V blower delivers about what we expect for a homeowner-class blower. At the top end, you get airflow levels of 450 CFM and airspeeds of 123 MPH, and the speed control wheel lets you set your blowing speed to the application. It’s also equipped with convenience features like a trigger lock for continuous runtime and a hanger slot for easy storage.
Bosch doesn’t provide any runtime estimates for this blower; however, as with the other tools on this list, you’ll get the most runtime using the kitted 18V Expert 8.0Ah battery.
- Model: Bosch GBL18V-450N
- Brushless Motor
- Top Airflow: 450 CFM
- Top Airspeed: 123 MPH
- Noise Level: 64dB
- Trigger Lock-On
- Weight: 6.6 lbs
Price: $249 bare, $349 kit with 8.0Ah Expert 18V battery and charger
Bosch 18V 16-inch Chainsaw

Finally, the last tool in Bosch’s 18V outdoor power equipment launch is the GKE18V-40N chainsaw. As the brand’s first full-length cordless chainsaw on the 18V platform, its 16-inch bar cuts through branches and trees up to 14 inches in diameter. Like the rest of the OPE on this list, it’s outfitted with a brushless motor, which provides chain speeds of up to 40.7 ft/s.
For safety, Bosch included an advanced dual-braking function that stops the chain as soon as you release the trigger. There’s also a built-in kickback control to minimize damage and injury in case of kickback. Additionally, it’s equipped with Bosch’s OptiCut technology to automatically adjust the chain’s speed and torque to handle a variety of workloads.
At the time of writing, this chainsaw is the only product on the list that’s not available yet. Bosch tells us it’s slated to release closer to summer 2026, so be on the lookout for it at your favorite Bosch retailers.
- Model: Bosch GKE18V-40N
- Max Speed: 40.7 FPS
- Chain Length: 16 in
Price: $349 bare, $499 kit with 8.0Ah Expert 18V battery and charger
