The cordless nailer market has been growing in recent years, catching up and even surpassing pneumatic models. However, so far, only three battery-powered brands have a duplex nailer on their roster. This includes the new DeWalt 20V Max Duplex Nailer. We got to see a demonstration of this nailer earlier this year at World of Concrete 2026, but I wanted to dive deeper into the DCN910 to find out how it could benefit your jobsite.
DeWalt 20V Max XR Duplex Nailer: Overview

- Model: DeWalt DCN910
- Magazine capacity: 24 nails
- Nail compatibility: DeWalt collated duplex nails (8D DN275 / 16D DN350)
- Brushless motor
- Weight: 8.8 lbs
Duplex nailers like the DeWalt DCN910 are more specialized than other cordless nailers. They’re designed for temporary structures, purposefully leaving nails proud from your working material for easy removal when it’s time to dismantle your structure.
This type of nailer is ideal for temporary bracing and scaffolding, as well as applications like concrete framing. According to DeWalt, it offers up to three times the productivity when compared to manual hand nailing.
For nail compatibility, this nailer can only be used with 8D DN275 (2 3/4-inch) and 16D DN350 (3 1/2-inch) DeWalt collated duplex nails.
Like many cordless nailers, the DCN910 gives you the option between rapid sequential firing and bump firing. When your magazine is empty, a dry fire lock-out function indicates when it’s time to reload and prevents excessive wear on the nose.
The DCN910 is only the third cordless duplex nailer on the market from a major tool brand, following Metabo HPT’s NR3675DDM and Milwaukee’s 2884. Compared to both of those, DeWalt claims this model is the most lightweight, at just over 8.8 pounds for the bare tool. That’s around 11 ounces lighter than Milwaukee’s version, and two pounds lighter than Metabo HPT’s.
Additional Features
- Rafter Hook: Adjustable hook for hands-free storage
- Magnesium Magazine: High-durability magazine construction for rugged jobsites
- Tool-Free Depth Adjustment: Sink nails to your preferred depth
DeWalt Duplex Nailer Price
This nailer retails for $499 as a bare tool. Currently, there are no kit options, so be sure to pick up a DeWalt 20V Max battery and charger if you’re not already on this platform.
Also note that the bare tool does not include any nails, so you’ll need to buy those separately as well. A 2000-pack of 8D DN275 or 16D DN350 nails runs around $90.
Should You Buy It?
Duplex nailers are a specialized piece of jobsite equipment, offering a quick way to set up temporary structures and concrete frames for easy fastener removal. While not every jobsite needs one, those that do could benefit from going cordless. If you’re tired of dragging an air hose around your concrete frames, the DCN910 is worth considering, especially for jobsites that already use DeWalt 20V Max tools.
