Dreametech D10s Plus Robot Vacuum Review

4L vacuum storage container

We recently reviewed the Dreametech D10s Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop, our third robotic vacuum from the company. Very similar to the Dreametech D10 Plus, it uses LIDAR to map and navigate obstacles, which helps it avoid furniture and vacuum in a methodical pattern. It just adds more debris capacity and uses a rubber “brush”. Additionally, an auto-empty base lets the Dreame D10s Plus vacuum for up to 9 weeks before needing to replace the bag.

Dreametech D10s Plus Robot Vacuum and Mop Performance

We really like robot vacuums that use LIDAR technology because they’re easy to use. The Dreametech D10s Plus scans the room up to 25 feet in front of it to figure out where it needs to clean. Although it’s a good idea to move anything that might get in the way, except for cables and cords, you don’t need to do anything else—the robot will take care of the cleaning by itself.

DreameBot D10s Plus vacuum

We installed the DreameTech D10s Plus robot vacuum in our home. Half the house features carpet while the other half has tile floors that can really benefit from a vacuum with a built-in mop. You can schedule the vacuum to clean first and then mop afterward, ensuring that the entire space is cleaned effectively and efficiently.

The Dreame D10s Plus did an excellent job moving around our living room—including navigating the couch, piano bench, and dual armchairs. It also managed to navigate the dining room with its suite of 8 chairs and Queen Anne-style table. Not once in 3 weeks of testing did it get stuck!

By replacing the vacuum attachment with the included mop pad, you can clean your tile floors and other hard surfaces that require damp cleaning. To do this, all you need to do is fill the 140 mL container with water before using it.

Dreamehome App

Using the Dreamehome app, you can schedule cleaning times, divide your home into specific zones, locate your robot vacuum, and review its cleaning history. One of the most remarkable features of the app is when you map your home for the first time. You can actually visualize how the LIDAR technology views your home, and how it automatically separates areas into zones or sections.

The map builds out in real time. Once it’s completed, you can block off areas and set up your cleaning schedules. You can also organize cleaning by rooms or zones—which the robot creates for you automatically.

Onboard Camera Live View

One feature the D10s Plus gives you that differs from many other models we’ve tested includes a live camera view. With it, you can actually see what your vacuum sees in real-time as it cleans the house. We haven’t figured out yet how to use this feature to its fullest—but the possibilities are nearly endless considering you can remotely control the vacuum at will.

Self-Emptying into Integrated Central Dust Collection Tank

One of the major problems with robot vacuums is that they typically have small onboard dustbins for storage. However, the Dreame D10s Plus solves this problem by automatically emptying the contents of its 400mL dust box into the base station. The base station has a super-sized 4L bag that fills up each time the D10s Plus docks to recharge. With that much capacity, you may go for more than two months before having to touch the auto-empty base.

Power and Functionality

We love that this vacuum uses a silicon brush. It seems much less prone to getting gummed up with carpet fibers and hair. The Dreametech D10s Plus comes with class-leading 5,000 Pa of suction. That falls on the highest end of suction power for robotic vacuums on Amazon. With 280 minutes of runtime, you truly get whole-home cleaning on a single charge (it uses a large 5,200 mAh battery). It has a 0.10-gallon (400 mL) dust box and a 0.04-gallon (140 mL) water tank.
