Gas-powered generators have had their run, and in fact, some people still consider them the kings of off-grid power. EcoFlow aims to change some minds and turn some heads with the Delta 2 Max portable power station. How does this model stand out in the growing solar- and AC-powered generator market? The Delta 2 Max is EcoFlow’s latest iteration in the Delta power inverter series. It has a base power capacity of 2048Wh, with the option to add up to two extra batteries to further expand the capacity to up to 6144Wh.

Using X-Stream dual solar/AC charging capabilities, this unit charges from 0% to 80% in as little as 43 minutes. If you prefer to only use AC charging, you can get to 80% in just over an hour.

The brand tells us the batteries have a 3000-cycle life, which averages out to around 10 years of use, even if you use it daily. EcoFlow says that’s around 6 times longer than other power stations on the market with comparable capacity and power output.

You can run the majority of your home appliances with up to 2400W of power. Plus, using X-Boost mode, you can also power high-wattage appliances with up to 3400W. The Delta 2 Max has a total of 15 outlets— 6 AC ports, 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-A fast-charge ports, 2 USB-C ports, 2 DC5521 ports, and a 12V port.

This unit’s design enables portability, with a lightweight and compact body that weighs a manageable 50 pounds. Not only is it compact, but sound levels aren’t an issue either— it’s as quiet as 30dB while charging.

A rubber anti-slip base ensures it won’t move around during transport. Plus, the casing is UL94-5VA compliant for fire resistance, which raises the safety standards even higher for the Delta 2 Max.

Included with the model is an assortment of charging cables to get you started. You get an AC charging cable, a 12V car charging cable, and a DC5521 to DC5525 cable.
