Editor’s Note: It appears this pressure washer was available about a year ago, but no longer is. We haven’t heard of any plans to bring it back.
Electric pressure washers have come a long way. When I first started at Pro Tool Reviews more than a decade ago, 2100 PSI was about as good as you could get without shifting to gas power. Then we crept up to 2400 PSI, and brushless motors pushed a few elite models to 3000 PSI. That seemed to be the limit.
So, imagine my surprise when PTR reader, Christopher, put a Greenworks 3100 PSI electric pressure washer on my radar. Greenworks is one of several manufacturers that rate their pressure and water flow based on PWMA standards, so we have high confidence that it’s a legit pressure rating.
There’s a lot in play to reach this benchmark performance level, so let’s take a walk through what we’re looking at with the GWP3100C, some important details, and who it’s a good fit for.

Greenworks 3100 PSI Electric Pressure Washer Basics

As I already noted, this pressure washer can hit 3100 PSI. For flow, you’re looking at 1.2 to 2.1 GPM, depending on which tip you use.
Unsurprisingly, it takes a brushless motor to reach this level of performance. Greenworks’ TruBrushless technology is driving the ship, and that’s key. This isn’t your standard brushless motor with a fancy marketing name. The technology adjusts to the tip you’re using to optimize the pressure washer’s performance.
Here’s the kicker: this pressure washer uses a 20-amp outlet to get a performance boost over the 15-amp electric models most people are used to.
You’re not stuck if you only have 15 amps to work with, though. Greenworks includes a 15-amp adapter. The TrueBrushless technology steps down its performance to avoid tripping the breaker. That’s another reason why having that technology is so advantageous.
According to Greenworks, you get 35% more power when you use a 20-amp outlet. Assuming that refers to the pressure, you’re looking at 2300 PSI on a 15-amp outlet.

When it comes to the pump, this model uses a triplex design rated for 1000 hours of maintenance-free performance.
Both the motor and pump are designed for continuous run cycles, so you can run this pressure washer just as hard as you would a gas model.
Additional Highlights

- Longer Reach: 50-foot Pro-grade hose included
- A Nozzle for Every Application: Includes soap, turbo, 15°, 25°, and 40° nozzles
- Versatile Compatibility: Includes a 7-piece quick-connect set
- Integrated GFCI: Never worry about finding a GFCI outlet
- Thermal Relief Valve: Automatically purges hot water from the pump during continuous use
- 10-inch Wheels: Easily rolls over all ground surfaces and handles stairs better than small wheels
- 1-gallon Detergent Tank: Hold an entire bottle of your preferred detergent
- Vertical Storage: Stands up to take up less floorspace
Is a Comeback Possible?

The only mention I was able to find of the Greenworks 3100 PSI electric pressure washer was at Lowe’s and a few smaller retailers. Greenworks doesn’t even have this one on its website that I could find. For now, anyway, it looks like we’ll have to hope that it’s just a pause in production.
The build has 100% Pro-grade DNA written all over it, and its $799 price tag reflects that. However, it’s a big step up in performance from the commercial 2500 PSI model we reviewed a few years back.
Hitting the 3100 PSI mark is key, not only putting the GPW3100C in a class by itself, but also offering Pros a legitimate electric option to replace smaller gas pressure washers.
There are plenty of reasons why electric makes sense: low noise, no direct emissions, less maintenance, and no fuel/oil to worry about. So, let’s hope this one makes a comeback soon.

I purchased this model over a year ago at lowes. It is indeed a beast at 20 amp I have mine wall mounted with a 100 foot retractable 3/8 kobrajet hose and a better version of the mtm sgs28 gun/wand. It reads 3000psi at the gun on my manometer. The older 15 amp 3000 psi model only hit 2700psi. I have not been able to find a single mention of this unit anywhere on the web until now, a full 6 months after lowes stopped carrying them. This is not the new guy ,this is the best guy who was there for a year , then disappeared, with not a single review anywhere. truly baffling as this is the one model that can compete with the krenzle’s and other high end models.weird to release it and not push it, but ive got mine, i seem to be the only one, lol!!!!
Interesting. Thanks for the updated info! I totally missed it when it was available. With such high performance, I wonder why it flew under the radar. Hopefully, it makes a comeback.
no problem, it is quite a mystery as to its disapearance . thanks again for covering it!
