Guardair ReverseForce Air Gun

GuardAir ReverseForce Air Gun tip

When an axel breaks, you’ve got to clean out the debris left behind before you can make an effective repair. Fail to do that, and you’ll likely end up damaging the new components over time. To help with this (and similar applications), GuardAir developed the new ReverseForce air gun which has a unique head that blows air backwards towards the user. The GuardAir ReverseForce Air Gun is designed so that you can stick the long shaft into an axel housing, machine cavity, gear box, or other similar location, and activate the gun. Pulling backwards slowly allows you to remove debris as you go without causing metal shavings and pieces to be driven back into the shaft as a normal air gun (like the GuardAir LZR6007KIT) would effect.

Look folks, there’s no way for this to not sound a little…um…odd when this tool and its use is described—but if you’re a truck mechanic, this may be a very cool thing to have around the shop. And, yes, your friends may make fun of you…until they see how cool it is.

Final Thoughts

Standard air guns with conventional nozzles can drive metal chips and debris deep into sensitive mechanical equipment, causing failure and future maintenance problems. In contrast, the unique GuardAir ReverseForce air gun directs compressed air back towards the opening thereby expelling chips and debris from the interior. It looks to be a well-made product that solves a real problem, and that’s something we can only encourage.
