Milwaukee Roll-On Power Supply Scales Up Jobsite Battery Power By Boosting Capacity
Portable power stations have come a long way over the last few years; however, many models still target light- to medium-duty work, emergency backup, or recreational applications. Milwaukee takes a jobsite-focused approach with the 7200W/3600W 6.0kWh Roll-On Power Supply, which is the highest-capacity portable power station offered by Team Red thus far.
How does that translate to more power and runtime for your jobsite? I’ll walk you through what we know ahead of its release to help you decide if it’s worth the investment.
Milwaukee Roll-On Power Supply Overview

The 3301R is Milwaukee’s second-iteration Roll-On power supply, following the 3300R released in 2024. The new model features a 6.0kWh internal battery, which offers up to 2.4x more capacity than the 2.5kWh battery seen in the last Roll-On model. In terms of output, you’re looking at up to 7200 watts of start-up power and 3600 watts of continuous power.
This translates to more overall runtime and more relevant runtime when you’re using high-demand tools. Milwaukee estimates up to 43 recharges for an M18 XC6.0 battery, 4.4 hours of rotary hammer chipping, or 9,358 OSB circular saw cuts.
The unit recharges via AC power. From empty, it takes around 100 minutes to charge to 25%, and 8 hours to reach full charge.
For outlets, the Milwaukee 3301R is equipped with two 20A GCFI duplex outlets with circuit breakers, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port. This lets you power up to two 20A corded tools at a time, and the pure sine wave technology lets you safely charge your jobsite electronics like tablets, phones, and laptops while you work.

On the design side, the 3301R boasts Packout compatibility, letting you connect your toolboxes and other Packout components right to the top of the power supply. Milwaukee carried over the same 9.5-inch all-terrain wheels and telescoping handle that we saw on the previous model, making it easy to transport the 3301R from the truck to anywhere on the jobsite.
Additionally, the 3301R Roll-On power supply carries an IP54 ingress rating, protecting against water splashes and dust particles common on many jobsites.
Comparing Milwaukee Roll-On Power Supplies
As mentioned, the 3301R is the second-iteration Roll-On Power Supply in Milwaukee’s lineup. Below is a side-by-side comparison of both models to view their most relevant specs.

Should You Buy It?
There’s no question that at nearly $9,000, the 3301R Roll-On Power Supply is among Milwaukee’s most premium-priced offerings. However, its large-capacity battery and jobsite-ready build make it a great fit for crews looking to ditch the fumes, noise, and restrictions of gas generators. And that’s the key. Whether you need legit power output where gas engines create hazards or you’re looking to more broadly electrify your jobsite, that’s where you’ll find the greatest value in the Roll-On Power Supply.
If that’s what you’re looking for, there’s still the consideration of which model is the better fit. The 6.0kWh internal battery of the 3301R offers more than double the runtime in Milwaukee’s previous Roll-On, providing significantly longer runtime for busy, multi-man crews. Plus, when you look at the price per kWh, you get more bang for your buck.
However, if you’re a small or one-man crew, you may not need the highest-capacity power supply Milwaukee has to offer. Smaller crews will still get many of the same Roll-On benefits with the 3300R 2.5kWh power supply if you don’t mind the runtime and feature trade-offs. You can also go with one of Milwaukee’s Carry-On power supplies for an even more budget-friendly option.
Sound like a winner to you? You can grab the 3301R for $8,999, and it carries a 3-year warranty.
