Using The Greenworks 60V 2500-Lumen Hybrid Work Light

Output

Greenworks 60V 2500-Lumen Hybrid Work Light Review

As the name indicates, this light can pop 2500 lumens of LED light into your workspace. What it does with that output is just as important. Multiple LED chips in the center flare out in a wide pattern through a clear, undiffused lens.

The result is a clean, bright throw that lights up a large area without having to place the light far back from it. In terms of effective range, it can give you light out to 65 feet in the center.

It’s very much a traditional work light design, though it replaces hot, yellow halogen bulbs with cooler, more efficient LEDs that produce a much more natural 5000K color temperature.

There are multiple modes to work with. By pressing the power button, you can cycle through high, low, and off.

Hybrid Power Sources

Hybrid Power Source

Greenworks made this a hybrid work light, meaning it can run on either a 60V battery or AC power with an extension cord.

Runtime is always a big factor when considering a cordless light. We set this light up with a fresh 2.0Ah battery, set it to high, and let it run until the battery was depleted. Greenworks rates it for 4 hours with that battery, but, it ran for 5 1/2 hours in our test.

If you’re using higher-capacity batteries, such as the 8.0Ah packs from the zero-turn mower or lawn tractor, you can run up to a full 24 hours!

Mounting Options

Mounting Options

Greenworks incorporates a few different mounting options for this light. They include a removable plastic S-hook and rafter hook that’s capable of hanging on 2x material. There are two keyholes that face opposite directions in the base plate for easy wall mounting.

The light pivots a full 360°, so between that and the mounting options, you can direct light exactly where you need it.

Additional Highlights

  • Cushioned rubber overmolded top carry handle
  • 4.6 pounds bare, 7.5 lbs with 2.0Ah battery
  • Compatible with all Greenworks 60V batteries
