Ahead of Equip 2025, Husqvarna is announcing five new chainsaws covering both Professional and residential needs. They’re all due in the first quarter of 2026, so we don’t have complete information just yet. That said, if you’re looking for an upgrade, check out the details and see if they’re worth waiting for.
Husqvarna 564 XP Fuel-Injected Chainsaw

For Pro arborists, the 564 XP is an upgrade that shakes up the 60cc class. Husqvarna designed it with a 50cc profile, making it more maneuverable and compact than other 60cc models, yet it has the power output of a 70cc saw. According to Husqvarna, it’s the most powerful in its class. Having that kind of power with a more compact size should make this the new benchmark for the 60cc class.
It’s also worth noting that the 564 XP has the lowest vibration of any Husqvarna gas chainsaw. Vibration control is a major focus point for Husqvarna, so setting a new low is a big deal. More importantly, it will reduce the amount of fatigue and numbness you experience over the day while improving the saw’s long-term durability.

Husqvarna 550i XP Battery Chainsaw

The big deal for the 550i XP is that it takes over as Husqvarna’s most powerful battery chainsaw, capable of using a 20-inch bar. With Stihl’s MSA 300 C-0 using a 20-inch bar and Greenworks Commercial’s H.O.G. saw sporting up to a 28-inch bar, it’s no surprise that Husqvarna is expanding its capabilities as well.
If you’re already used to Husqvarna’s battery chainsaws, you’ll notice this model gets a control screen upgrade. The display shows real-time battery levels, saw health, and status updates, including
SavE mode and heated handle (on G model) status.

Husqvarna 445S and 450S Rancher Chainsaws

Turning to residential and farm needs, the 445 and 450 Rancher are getting an upgrade to “S” models. There are some performance gains coming from their X-Torque engines—20% faster cutting for the 445S. They’re also upgraded with reinforced crankcases, quick-release cylinder covers, captured bar nut, and high-visibility felling marks while keeping the Smart Start, Air Injection, and LowVib technologies from the previous models.

Husqvarna 450X Rancher Chainsaw

The 450 Rancher is also getting an “X” model option, making it a more effective bridge between pure residential saws and Pro models. This primarily upgrades the starting and power delivery.
For cranking, you’re looking at 40% easier starts by reducing the number of steps compared to the 450.
For power delivery, an AutoTune upgrade automatically adjusts the engine settings to deal with fuel quality, altitude, humidity, and temperature. This all results in more consistent performance across a wide range of environmental conditions.
