Klein Portable Power Station and Solar Panels

Klein Jump Starts Their Jobsite Power Game with 1500-Watt Portable Power Station

As tech on the jobsite continues to expand, “dirty” power from a generator isn’t a great solution to keep your devices charged. The Klein Portable Power Station offers a clean power solution with the opportunity to harness the sun’s light energy as a bonus.

Klein Portable Power Station KTB1000 | The Big Deal

This was one we didn’t see coming. The fact that Klein has a higher-capacity power supply is a big deal for the brand. Many battery inverters in the same class are from names that don’t have the reputation for standing by their products the way Klein does.

As for the unit itself, it stores 983 watt-hours of pure sine wave energy. It’s capable of producing up to 1500 watts continuously with 3000 watts of surge power. Thanks to pass-through charging, you can charge the unit and power devices at the same time. There’s an impressive array of outlet options as well:

  • 4 x 120V
  • 3 x USB-A
  • 3 x USB-C
  • 1 x 12V

Additional Features

  • Digital LCD display
  • 2.5-hour recharge time to 80% (slower charge to 100% to protect the battery service life)
  • MPPT built into the unit (maximum power point tracking)
  • Battery rated to 500 recharge cycles
  • Storage built into the stop
  • Washable, reusable filter
  • Weighs 43 pounds

Klein Solar Panels

Not only is the Klein Portable Power Station solar-ready, but Klein also has the solar panels available so you don’t have to wonder if the ones you’re looking at have the right connection. Each folding panel is rated for 60 watts and you can connect two of them for recharging.

If you’re using other brands’ panels, the power station can handle up to 400 watts of solar input.

Keep in mind that solar panels rarely achieve their maximum rating. While having them plugged in can help extend the unit’s runtime, the panels will have a hard time keeping up if you’re charging multiple devices or running power tools.
