The Ryobi PCL916 heat gun is powered by the brand’s popular 18V battery platform to bring cordless convenience to your projects. It features two heat modes, providing temperatures up to 450° in low and 750° on high. A dual temperature control dial on the tool’s stand lets you choose your preferred heating level.

This tool boasts a heat-up time of as little as 90 seconds to reach full temperature. Ryobi tells us it’s ideal for tasks such as adhesive removal, paint stripping, heat transfer, heat shrink tubing, and anything in between.

It reaches air volume levels of up to 6 CFM and has a heat rating of 3100 BTU. While this is less powerful than Ryobi’s P3150 heat gun, it certainly has its place for small household fixes and DIY projects.

This heat pen has an inline length of 8 inches on the handheld piece. It sits on an integrated stand to which you connect your 18V battery for power. The pen and stand are joined by a 4-foot cable, giving you plenty of room to move around while you work.

Not only does the stand act as a storage piece for your pen, but it also enables hands-free use to give you more control over your workpiece.

Additionally, this tool includes two accessories— a deflector nozzle and a spreader nozzle— to help you with a variety of tasks. These nozzles are stored onboard near the battery slot at the bottom of the stand.
