Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduced a new sliding utility knife as part of its new line of hand tool products.  Built to be productive and ergonomic, the Sliding Utility Knife comes fully featured and emphasizes ease-of-use and durability.

Activated by a side sliding mechanism rather than a top button that often gets in the way or causes unintended blade retraction, the Sliding Utility Knife also features a tool free blade change and wire stripper for increased efficiency. Complete with rubber overmold to increase comfort and reduce hand slippage, the new tool also includes on board blade storage to avoid looking for blades on the job and is designed to fit in a tool pouch for added convenience.

Two features we really appreciated were the tool-less quick blade change and on-board storage. These are features that are increasingly becoming standard on newer utility knives and we're glad to see Milwaukee made it a part of the new Fastback system. In particular, their blade storage makes use of the ample space underneath the rubberized handle of the tool. The new utility knife is among the first in a line of hand tools Milwaukee will launch in April. Additional innovative tools in the saw, knife and driver categories will follow later this year. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the new tools confirm Milwaukee’s commitment to best-in-class durability.
