Makita recently announced its new 12V max Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8″ Impact Wrench (model WT01W) and it is a monster. With 1,000 in. lbs. of maximum torque and weighing just 2.1 lbs, the new impact wrench can be purchased solo or as part of a package (along with the 12V max 3/8″ driver in a 3-piece combo kit (LCT307W)). The new tool is perfect for automotive work and provides ample power for those looking to drop the cord and seek a more portable solution. And portable, it is. The entire tool is just 6-3/8″ long – not as short as the Bosch PS41-2A but still compact. It’s available at various retailers for as low as $159.
Makita 12V Impact Driver WT01W Features
The new WT01W has a variable speed trigger that delivers 0-2,300 RPM and up to 3,000 IPM (impacts per minute). The WT01W comes with Makita’s proprietary “hammer and anvil”, made from high quality hardened steel. There is a front LED light for illumination, but no battery level indicator on the tool. The new 12V max Lithium-Ion 3/8″ Impact Wrench Kit (WT01W) includes:
