GearWrench Air Impact Wrenches Signal a Move Into Power Tools

GearWrench is jumping from hand tools into the power tool world with a new line of pneumatic impact wrenches. The new 80 Series GearWrench Air Impact Wrenches come on the heels of expansion in the 120XP Ratcheting Wrench line as well as the Impact Rated Socket line. The GearWrench branch of the Apex Tool Group enjoys a reputation of solid performing hand tools. The pneumatic impact wrenches seem to follow that performance trend.

“The 80 Series Air Impact Wrenches offer a blend of performance and value. Automotive technicians trust GearWrench hand tools to help them get their jobs done efficiently. It is a significant evolution for the brand to now offer customers well-priced power tools they can count on to help them ‘Get In. Get Out. Get Done.’”

– Dave Bigg, product manager for GearWrench Power Tools

The new 3/8″, 1/2″ and 3/4″ drive air impact wrenches feature a variable speed trigger for precise control and a high-efficiency air motor. Durability and flexibility are combined with a powerful twin hammer mechanism and light-weight design features. With a maximum torque of 1301 foot pounds (1501 foot pounds breakaway torque), auto pros will make short work of fastening applications around the shop.

GearWrench Air Impact Wrenches are backed by a 1 year warranty. They’re also offering a 60 day risk free trial if you’re not convinced to try one on reputation alone. The question we’re all left with is which auto shop power tools they may be releasing next.

Kyle (A&A Services Inc.)

I purchased a 3/4 drive air impact wrench in 2018 from Advance Auto . The tool worked great until last week. While using it the whole end of the front housing broke off .Is there any place that I can get this wrench repaired and if so can I get an estimate on how much it will cost. Don’t want to pay more than what a new one would cost.
