Bosch is getting ready to unleash the latest Impact Driver to be added to their Impactor line. This new model will have 1,500 in-lb of torque and will be built on their 18V "Litheon" (lithium-ion) battery platform. To date this will be the most powerful impact driver that Bosch has to offer and it will rival some of the best offerings from much of the competition.

Not only is there lodes of torque, the size of the tool is very compact with an overall length of just 5.7 inches. This tool should give great maneuverability in tight spaces. The frameless motor features all metal gears and gear housing that helps to deliver the 3,200 beats per minute. The chuck is the standard 1/4" hex drive with a spring loaded quick release. For working in dark areas there is a built-In LED light and for complete control there is a variable-speed trigger. If you should ever need to replace the brushes there are externally accessible ports but if you should need further help fixing your tool, the Impactor comes with Bosch's three year ProVantage Tool Protection Plan which means that for the first year that you own the tool, they will replace it guaranteed, and in the second and third years that you have it, they have a free of charge replacement of parts worn under normal use. If that's still not good enough, they will give you free replacement batteries, within 48 hours for the first two years. In the box comes two 18V Litheon SlimPack Batteries (BAT609), the 60-minute Litheon Battery Charger, a double-ended Phillips bit, a very handy Belt Clip and the carrying case. You can plan on seeing the Bosch Model 25618-02 Impactor available on line and in stores soon.
