The Kershaw Fraxion has a sleek, modern look thanks to the Jens Anso design. Its clip point blade is an excellent style for a combination of piercing and slicing duties. The Fraxion is also ridiculously lightweight – just a fraxion of the weight of other folders at just 1.9 ounces. The weight reduction is in part to the G10 handle offset with a carbon fiber layover.

Dickies Industrial WorkTech Long Sleeve Ventilated Performance Shirt

Why we’d love to have it:Dickies Industrial WorkTech Long Sleeve Ventilated Performance Shirt

Dickies long sleeve shirts are a great counterpart to their classic Original 874 work pants. Why go with long sleeves in the summer? Because you get protection from the sun and can roll up the sleeves if it gets too warm. But it goes further than that with the Industrial WorkTech Long Sleeve shirt thanks to built-in ventilation and cooling thanks to mesh underarms and back. The 65% polyester/35% cotton blend makes it tougher than the dry fit shirts running around but still has those cooling benefits, moisture wicking, and better stretch when you’ve got to actually work on the jobsite.

Get it for:

Every Pro Dad can use a breathable shirt in the summertime. He’ll love the fact that he can keep the sun off his arms without baking while he’s working outside.

Kreg 16″ Auto Adjust Bar Clamps (KSC16)

Kreg 16" Auto Adjust Bar Clamps

Why we’d love to have it:

Kreg Auto Adjust Bar Clamps make using bar clamps just a little more convenient than most. Just slide the moving end up so both faces are against the workpiece and squeeze the handle closed. The 16″ model is a nice middle ground, but you can also get them in 8″ and 24″ sizes. One clamp is great, but having them in pairs is invaluable, so be sure to get Dad two this year.

Ryobi One+ 18V Tire Inflator (P731)

Ryobi 18V Cordless Inflator

Why we’d love to have it:

There’s just something awfully nice about being able to set the pressure you want in your tires, turn the inflator on, and let it do the work without hovering like an overprotective parent. But what’s even better is that it can move from high PSI functions to high volume functions like blowing up your air mattress along with acting as a power deflator. You’ll want to keep one in the car and one in the garage so there’s always one at hand.

Thermacell Backpacker Mosquito Repeller

Thermacell Halo, Backpacker, and Tick Control System

Why we’d love to have it:

Thermacell recently brought an expansion of their popular mosquito repelling gear to the market. As a fan of their original repeller, this is good news for people like me that both work and play outside. Rather than using the butane cartridges, the Thermacell Backpacker works with a standard camping butane/propane canister that you can pick up anywhere camping supplies are sold. The benefit is that you get much longer runtime than the original model – up to 90 hours on a 4-ounce canister. That’s enough to keep you comfortable for a week long hike or nearly two weeks worth of work days on the lake.

Get it for:

This is a great addition for the Pro that likes to hike on the weekends or who specializes in work along lakes, rivers, and coastal regions where bugs threaten to carry away small children during the summer. Or anyone who just doesn’t like sharing their outdoor space with mosquitos.

The set includes two standard slotted sizes (keystone style) and two Phillips sizes. For more specialized fastening, three sizes of slotted cabinet-style are featured along with a #2 square drive.

Bosch Blaze GLM 20 65-ft Laser Measure (GLM 20)

Bosch Blaze GLM 20 Laser Measure

Why we’d love to have it:

Ever since Bosch introduced their first entry level laser distance measure, it’s only gotten better. The range is now up to 65 feet. Accuracy is still 1/8-inch and there’s just the one button to worry about learning. It doesn’t get much simpler than that to get quick measurements and the price is still less than $50.

Get it for:

Laser distance measures are great for any Pro that wants to quickly take measurements for estimates on materials and price quotes. It’s also beneficial for collecting layout data to transfer into a CAD program. While those are the top Pro uses, I find a lot of uses for mine around the house, too.

Black Diamond Storm Headlamp

Black Diamond Storm Headlamp - Best Tool Gifts for Father's Day

While tools manufacturers are getting on board with some quality lighting options, the outdoor industry has been rocking this category for years. Klein Tradesman Pro Knee Pads (55629)

Klein Tradesman Pro Knee Pads 55629Why we’d love to have it:

When I was young, the idea of wearing knee pads for work seemed like something only old people did. Well, I’m a little older, a lot wiser, and years of work and a running habit mean I pay a bit more attention to the wear on my body. Klein gets a lot of things right on their Tradesman Pro Knee Pads and one of my favorites is that the single strap design doesn’t bunch up behind my knee. That’s a big help when it comes to wearing these with shorts.

Get it for:

Even though Klein has the majority of their focus on the electrical trade, these are really solid knee pads for Pros that do flooring and plumbing as well.

You get up to 760 lumens of output with a beam you can focus for a tight spot beam or broad flood at 3 intensity levels. If you’re in a pinch and forgot to charge the light, just throw your backup AAA battery pack in and you’re good to go.

Every once in a while, a big breakthrough happens and completely changes the game for a tool category. That’s the case for the Southwire SIMpull fish tape. BroBasket Ultimate Whiskey Sampler

Bro Basket ultimate whiskey samplerWhy we’d love to have it:

I’m not sure how you can beat this gift. The folks at BroBasket have put together over 64 combinations of liquor, snacks, and more that you can send to your favorite Pro. They range from small “Taster” sets to large top shelf kits that include a glass, snacks, and other goodies. If those combinations don’t suit you, you can also make your own. We personally checked out the Ultimate Whiskey Sampler and invited four of our closest friends over to enjoy it with us. We didn’t need to “review” the whiskey & bourbon, it’s nearly all top shelf (the MaCallan 12 year was a particular favorite). BroBasket’s presentation is excellent, and the inclusion of the custom glass makes for a nice touch. Just be careful when ordering any of their chocolate-containing samplers in the summer!

Walls Workwear Jack-Shirt with Kevlar (YJ337)

Walls Workwear Jack-Shirt with Kevlar

Why we’d love to have it:

The Walls Workwear Jack-Shirt with Kevlar is a remarkably comfortable hybrid of a jacket and long-sleeve shirt that is attractive enough to pass as a regular piece of apparel rather than work wear. Its 10-ounce brushed duck blend of 75% cotton, 20% polyester, and 5% Kevlar with DWR coating makes it as durable a work shirt as I’ve ever used. But more than durability and comfort, the full range of mobility allowed by the bi-swing back and polyester in the blend made the Jack-Shirt stand, well, head and shoulders above other work jackets I’ve owned by major manufacturers.

Every Pro can use a durable and comfortable shirt/jacket for cooler days that don’t require a full-blown jacket.

Festool BR10 SysRock Jobsite Bluetooth Radio (200184)

Festool BR10 SYSROCK Jobsite Bluetooth Radio (200184)

Why we’d love to have it:

As I sit here typing up the reasons we love all the options in our Best Tool Gifts for Father’s Day Buying Guide, I’m listening to Montgomery Gentry on the Festool SysRock. It’s one of the best small speaker options for jobsite entertainment that’s come through the PTR ranks. There’s Bluetooth connectivity and an auxiliary port along with an FM radio tuner. One of the best features on this radio is the fact that as the volume goes up, you’re not dialing up the distortion along with it and it gets pretty darn loud. This small package definitely packs a punch.

Get it for:

Ridgid 18V Brushless Compact Router (R86044B )

Why we’d love to have it:

Cordless and router only go together in a sentence when we’re dreaming about the future, right? That’s not the case anymore thanks to the Ridgid 18V Brushless Compact Router. Its foundation is Ridgid’s popular corded trim router, so there’s a familiar feel to it. This router definitely gives me as good a cut as I expect from my corded model. So long as you’re doing smaller trim jobs—roundovers, detail trim, laminate trimming, etc—this tool is going to rock your world.

Kreg is a household name when it comes to woodworkers – both Pros and DIYers – thanks to their innovative solutions to common carpentry issues. The big deal with the Kreg Precision Miter Gauge System is that it’s perfectly accurate right out of the box – no calibration required. There are positive stops at 0, 10, 22.5, 30, and 45 degrees and the ability to make angle adjustments to 1/10th of a degree using the Vernier Scale. Arctic Cove Premium 20 QT Cooler (ACRMC20)

Arctic Cove Premium 20 QT Cooler (ACRMC20)

Why we’d love to have it:

There’s more than one premium cooler on the market and not all of them start at $200. The Arctic Cove Premium 20 Quart Cooler gives you 7 days of ice retention along with the bear-proof certification that’s important in bear-prone areas of the country. It comes with a bottle opener and cup holders that drain integrated into the lid. If you’ve been thinking about trying out a premium cooler, this is a good one to get your feet wet in. The only question is whether Arctic Cove will consider bringing some larger models for us to consider.

Ridgid GEN5X Brushless 18V Cordless Belt Sander (R86065B)

Ridgid Gen5X Brushless Belt Sander

Why we’d love to have it:

What woodworker or carpenter wouldn’t love to cut the cord on a belt sander? The Ridgid Gen5X Brushless Belt Sander combines a pretty nice feature set with excellent material removal and solid dust collection to make this an excellent corded replacement. Variable speeds give you more control based on what material and sandpaper grit you’re working with and it’s wrapped up nicely with Ridgid’s HexGrip overmold to provide a secure and comfortable grip.

Milwaukee M18/M12 Wireless Jobsite Speaker (2891-20)

Milwaukee M18/M12 Wireless Jobsite Speaker

Why we’d love to have it:

The Milwaukee M18/M12 Wireless Jobsite Speaker boasts the loudest premium sound you can get in the jobsite class. Adam Spafford agrees in his review and notes, “MIlwaukee’s latest jobsite speaker might be on the high end of the price range at $149, but the sound quality and crispness are well worth a few extra bones, especially since the premium speakers are so well protected inside the roll case design with water and dust resistance.” With NBHD durability wrapping around this set, Dad is sure to keep his jobsite rocking on those long days.

Bosch 12V Max EC Brushless 3/8″ Drill/Driver Kit (PS32-02)

Best 12V Cordless Drill - Bosch PS32 Lo Res

Why we’d love to have it:

When we did a shootout of 12V drills, the PS32-02 just wouldn’t quit despite having a smaller battery pack than most. That small pack also translates to lighter weight and Bosch does a great job with the ergonomics on this model. The EC brushless motor is to thank for the great runtime and solid power in its category. Many people claim that the 12V class is really your “kitchen drawer” drill, but Pros tell us time and again they’ll reach for the 12V drill to do 80% of their work.

Get it for:

Bosch’s 12V line is pretty solid from top to bottom. Grab this for any Dad – Pro or otherwise – that doesn’t have 12V tools yet to get him started.

The Stok Gridiron Grill is made for portable cookouts. Its single burner is fueled by the 1-pound camping propane canisters you ca get at any outdoor retailer. What sets this grill apart is Stok’s insert system that offers tons of versatility. I’ve even made pizza and chocolate chip cookies on my Stok grill. Skilsaw 7-1/4″ Magnesium Worm Drive Saw with Diablo Blade (SPT77WM-22)

Skilsaw 7-1/4" Magnesium Worm Drive Saw with Diablo Blade (SPT77WM-22)

Why we’d love to have it:

Worm drives are heavier than sidewinders when it comes to circular saws, but oh, that torque! Worm drives are great for making long rip cuts that bog down a sidewinder. The Skilsaw SPT77WM-22 uses magnesium to drop the weight without sacrificing strength and the 77 series motor gives you plenty of wood ripping power. Sweetening the deal, this model comes with a Diablo blade, widely recognized as the best in the industry.

Milwaukee Tick Tool and Equipment Tracker (10 Pk) (48-21-2010)

Milwaukee Tick Tool and Equipment Tracker

Why we’d love to have it:

The Milwaukee Tick isn’t a GPS tracker, but it’s the closest thing we have and it’s pretty clever. It uses Bluetooth technology to send a signal to the Milwaukee One-Key app and let the user know where it is or was last seen. The great thing is that anyone’s One-Key app will update the location for you without alerting anyone else to its presence. Even though the battery lasts for a year, it’s an easy swap when it’s time to change and the unit is IP67 rated against dust and water intrusion, so it will thrive on the jobsite. You can stick, glue, strap, or rivet the Tick to any equipment you want to – even if it isn’t from Milwaukee.

Makita 18V LXT Sub-Compact Brushless 2-Piece Combo Kit (Driver-Drill/ Impact Driver) (CX200RB)

Makita 18V LXT Sub-Compact Combo Kit

Why we’d love to have it:

Pros love their 12V tools for their light weight and compact design, but it forces them onto another battery system. Makita solves that problem with their 18V LXT Sub-Compact tools. They’re roughly the size of 12V tools without forcing you off of Makita’s 18V system that boasts well over 100 tools. Even though the specs put it at lower performance level than the heavy-duty tools, your Pro Dad will still be able to do about 80% of the work on his plate without having to turn to heavier tools.

This is a great gift for the Pro Dad that already enjoys Makita 18V tools or needs a push in that direction.

Costa del Mar Tuna Alley Sunglasses

Costa del Mar Tuna Alley

Why we’d love to have it:

You can’t get anywhere near the coast without seeing Costa del Mar sunglasses showing up all over the place. But they’re more than just a status symbol for the Salt Life crowd, they’re genuinely outstanding sunglasses. I prefer the Tuna Alley frames for their full eye coverage along with polarized blue mirror lenses to deal with the harsh summer sun here in Florida. For the best clarity, go with the glass lens. But for some cost savings and better durability, a plastic lens is also available. There’s also a new Summer Sunrise Silver lens perfect for early morning and late evening fishing.

If your Dad enjoys fishing, this is a no-brainer that will make him smile. Even if he’s not, they’re outstanding sunglasses for any outdoor activities.

Not everyone needs a full quite of rotary hammers from SDS-Plus to SDS-Max. Festool SysLite DUO-Plus (769967)

Festool SysLite DUO work light

Why we’d love to have it:

The Festool SysLite Duo puts out 8000 lumens of room-filling light. But it’s so much more than just another high-power LED light. Festool starts by delivering that light at 5000K – a temperature that’s not too yellow, not too blue. It shows true color, which is especially handy for painters. The light diffusion spreads it out to cover a broad area, meaning you can plenty of light on your work area without bringing in 2 or 3 others.

Milwaukee M18 FUEL SURGE 1/4″ Hex Hydraulic Driver Kit (2760-22)

Milwaukee M18 Fuel Surge

Why we’d love to have it:

Impact drivers are great for driving screws, but they’re awfully loud. The Milwaukee M18 Fuel Surge uses a hydraulic drive to accomplish the same task at a much lower noise level and often much faster. It’s also lightweight and compact, so it’s a real joy to use. If you’re working in areas that are occupied – like schools, apartment buildings, and office buildings – the folks trying to get some work done will really appreciate your consideration in keeping the noise down.

Makita 18V X2 LXT Brushless Rear Handle 7‑1/4″ Circular Saw Kit (XSR01PT)

Makita 18V X2 Brushless Rear-Handle Circular Saw Review

Why we’d love to have it:

Worm drives are for making long rip cuts, but their outstanding torque has been left out of the cordless models – until now. It’s not a true worm drive since the helical gears come together at a 45-degree angle, but it’s got power that exceeds anything else in the 18V/20V Max and 36V classes. Pro’s finally have the rip cutting circular saw they’ve been waiting for.

Werner Fiberglass Podium Ladder with Casters (PD6208-4C)

Werner PD6210-4C fiberglass podium ladder angled

Why we’d love to have it:

Ladders help you reach heights you can’t climb to on your own. Well, at least shouldn’t climb to on your own. But when you have to perform your job while standing on the ladder, it can get downright uncomfortable for your feet and legs to stand on those narrow steps. The Werner Fiberglass Podium Ladder with Casters gives you a platform to stand much more comfortably on and even move around to reach what would otherwise be dangerous to attempt. Casters on the base allow you to move the ladder around with ease. They’re spring loaded, so the moment you step on the ladder, your body weight puts firm feet on the ground to keep it from moving on you.

EGO Power+ 56V Self-Propelled Lawn Mower

Why we’d love to have it:EGO self propelled lawn mower

There’s never been a better time to make the jump to battery-powered outdoor power equipment. EGO took their popular 56V mower and made a few improvements, the most notable being a self-propelled model. Dad will be able to cut the grass with less effort on his part and the mower does a legitimately nice job of keeping the lawn neat and tidy. It’s a high cost of entry compared to most gas mowers, but you’ll unlock one of the best lithium-ion lines from top to bottom with everything you need to keep your lawn in tip-top shape!

Get it for:

If your yard is under a half acre, Dad will love the self-propelled function, noise reduction, lack of emissions, and no gas/oil mixtures to make and store.
